Quaresma most recently played in Turkey with Kasimpasa, having previously enjoyed considerable success across two spells with Besiktas, and returns to his homeland on a two-year deal, with Vitória retaining the option to extend his contract by a further season until the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

He is widely regarded as one of Portugal's greatest-ever players and has won the European Championship, the UEFA Champions League, an Intercontinental Cup, four Primeira Liga titles, three Super Cups, two Portuguese Cups, two Serie A crowns and two Turkish Süper Lig trophies throughout his career to date.

Foster, 20, is likely to benefit from having a player of Quaresma's calibre and experience alongside him, and he will look to kick on in Portugal's top flight after spending last season on loan with Belgian side Cercle Brugge.
