Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau has topped Anderlecht's high-speed distance running charts, according to a recent study.
Tau ranks among the Jupiler Pro League's highest-rated players when it comes to high-speed distance running, which is described as the number of meters a footballer runs at a pace of above 20 km/h in a single match, rather than their top speed in a particular moment.

This is according to research by player-turned-coach Arnar Vidarsson who revealed that the former Mamelodi Sundowns star runs an average of 1311 metres per match at high-speed, which is the highest of any player at Anderlecht this season.
Tau ranks ninth overall from players across the Belgian top flight, with OH Leuven's Ghanaian star Kamal Sowah topping the charts with an incredible average high-speed distance of 1847 metres per match
"In terms of high-speed distance, Sowah is the best in Belgium," Arnar Vidarsson said during an interview with Belgian publication Extra Time h/t Sporza.
"No one has run more meters above 20 km/h in one match than Sowah. With him, that is 1847 meters. Running very quickly, he is the best in Belgium. In comparison, [Tim] Kleindienst is at No. 2 with 1712 meters and [Pieter] Gerkens at No. 3 with 1567 metres.
"And if you look at Anderlecht, the player who scores best in that area is Percy Tau with 1311 meters. That difference with Sowah is huge."
