Although Wydad were sent packing with three defeats in their group, the former Orlando Pirates goal-scoring ace had eye-catching performances against Manchester City and Juventus, with many believing that he was arguably their best player at the tournament.
After completing his loan spell, The Red Castle are yet to reach an agreement with Masandawana as they were given an option to buy.
If the former PSL Footballer of the Season had his way, two factors could influence his decision on whether he stays up North or return to fight for his place at Sundowns.
"Having one person that comes from the same country as you actually helped us. It made me to feel free if I want to share something with him (Lorch), because the language, it's easy," Cassius Mailula, who has returned to Toronto, revealed the advantages of having your compatriot in a foreign country, on Metro FM Sports.
"It made things easy for me, to even play on the pitch because he (Lorch) would be able to communicate with me, to fix something and I could do the same thing to him. Having him was really amazing, because we also stayed at the same complex, we would go to training together, we would even spend time together off the pitch, which helped, instead of being alone," Mailula said.
Wydad are also reportedly not financially stable, after former coach Rulani Mokwena also revealed that at times he would pay players out of his pocket after they did not receive their salaries.

"Obviously from my side, remember I get it (salary) because I'm on loan, I can't speak about what's in my contract...honestly they (Wydad) do struggle here and there, as much as it is not always on time, they try to make sure they give you your salary," the former Sundowns striker said, coy on whether there are salary issues at the North African giants.
Lorch will be 32 in three weeks, with the age factor working against him to get an overseas move after impressing at the global club competition.
