Khuliso Mudau excited after maiden Bafana Bafana call-up

Mudau has been one of the standout performers in the DStv Premiership this season where his performances have helped propel Mamelodi Sundowns to the top of the league standings.

The 26-year-old's form has been recognised by national team coach Hugo Broos who named him the final 23-man squad to do battle against Guinea and France in international friendlies this month.

Ahead of the two highly-anticipated encounters, Mudau revealed his excitement at the opportunity to represent Bafana Bafana and to showcase his talent against esteemed opposition

"I would like to thank the coaches for selecting me," he told the media on Monday. "I think it's a good opportunity for me as a player to represent my country and play for Bafana Bafana.

"It's my first time here [and] as a player, going to experience playing against France and Guinea is going to be a great thing for me to improve and to show off my talent."

"...I am going there to show off my talents so I am going to play my normal football and make it simple for myself, and just make sure that I am helping the nation to win," he added.

South Africa will face Guinea in Belgium on Friday, 25 March, before being welcomed by world champions France in Lille four days later.
