Prior to his move to Kaizer Chiefs at the start of the season, Keagan Dolly spent the previous three-and-a-half seasons on the books of French Ligue 1 side Montpellier where he made 64 appearances across all competitions.
The 29-year-old is now set to return to Europe later this month after being named in Hugo Broos' Bafana Bafana squad for international friendlies against Guinea, in Belgium, and France, in Lille.
"I didn't expect to go back to France so soon but it's good memories going back to see a stadium I played in and perhaps see some of the people I know from France," Dolly told Chiefs' media team on Wednesday.
"It will be good to go back and share my experiences with the boys. It's a new team and we're going to be playing one of the top teams in the world in France, who have good players playing in the highest leagues so it will be a good experience for us to go there and see how good we are."
The former Ajax Cape Town City and Mamelodi Sundowns also revealed his pride after being handed another call-up to the national team ahead of what will be South Africa's first match in Europe since 2012.
"I believe every player should be proud to represent the country," he added. "I've always said since I was a youngster that I wanted to see myself in the Bafana set-up.
"It shows that I am doing well for Kaizer Chiefs. It's another challenging week for us [at club level] against Golden Arrows and then I can start focusing on Bafana Bafana."
