South Africa are set to go head to head with the reigning world champions in Lille on Tuesday in second of two friendly internationals on Bafana Bafana's calendar this month.
Broos' side come into the match on the back of a goalless draw against Guinea in which Bafana Bafana were made to rue their profligacy in front of goal after missing a number of goal scoring opportunities.
"I think we had a good performance," the Belgian tatcician said. "I saw a good game and I saw a good mentality. The only negative of that game is that we didnt score.
"We had six or seven good chances so we have to score, certainly once, and certainly two also when you have six, seven or eight chances.
"This is maybe a little bit negative but for the rest, the performance of all the players and the mentality on the field, the way they played the game [was good].
"I was a friendly game but we didnt see that. We really tried to win it so I am happy with the performance.
Broos' also admitted that it was a challenge to try and rectify the issues ahead of Tuesday's encounter against France but that it was up to the strikers to find their confidence in order to end the goal drought.
"Last week we had exercises in finishing but even there, in training, we saw that sometimes things that should have been goals were not goals," he continued. "This is up to the players because I can't change.
"We can give them exercises, we can give them confidence but at the end of the day it is the players that have to score.
"...It's difficult, how do we fix that? It's up to the players," Broos added. "We just can give the strikers confidence and not to talk too much about that because otherwise it's in their heads that, 'Oh we didn't score, we didn't score.'
"I mentioned it, certainly in the aftermatch meeting but that's all and they know it also with the chances that they had, we had to score. So we need the game where the strikers score and then it will be okay but for a moment it's a little problem."
