Earlier this month, the South African Football Association's protest against Bafana Bafana's controversial defeat to Ghana in November was declared inadmissible by FIFA.
SAFA had lodged a complaint against match referee Maguette N'Diaye in which it was alleged that the Senegalese official had unduly influenced the result in the Ghanaian's favour.
Following FIFA's decision, the details of which are yet to be fully disclosed, the GFA appear to be considering taking further action against SAFA.
The West African giants were incensed by comments made by SAFA president Danny Jordaan, which they claim were disparaging and damaged the reputation of their footballing association.
"The protest which was filed by South Africa had no grounds/legs to stand on," GFA communications director, Henry Asante Twum, told MyJoyOnline.
"There were other details that the disciplinary committee will release hopefully. When we receive that full verdict, that will inform us with regards to the next plan of action.
"Because aside from the protest, we felt that the name of the FA was battered and badly bruised by the South Africans. The insults and the castigations and allegations that were made against us, we felt were unfounded and frivolous."
Meanwhile, SAFA have requested the written reasons for FIFA's decision to declare the protest inadmissible.
