Amajimbos head coach Vela Khumalo has announced the final 21-man squad for the upcoming U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The national U-17 squad who were drawn in Group C alongside Cameroon, Senegal and Mali will play their group stage games in the nations economic capital, Casablanca.
Four Kaizer Chiefs teenagers have been rewarded for their impressive showings under Khumalo's watch and have been selected for the final squad list as they prepare to leave for North Africa tomorrow.
"We are looking forward to a tough but exciting tournament. We are ready to put up a great show and advertise the South African style of play," Khumalo said.
"In the past, South Africa has done very well in the U-17 tournament and we intend to continue doing so. It is unfortunate that there will be no U-17 FIFA World Cup this year as [the] qualification for that tournament was our ultimate goal.
"However, we will go to Morocco and bring back with us the much needed international experience for these players as they are the stars of tomorrow."
South Africa open their campaign against Mali on 15 March, Cameroon on 18 March and finish off the group stage fixtures against Senegal three days later.
