Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos questions professionalism of PSL star and Luther Singh

South Africa face Ethiopia next month in back-to-back games that could prove pivotal in their quest to reach the play-offs for Qatar 2022 and while he's expressed his happiness around his squad - he questioned two players in particular.

"This has got something to do with attitude, you know your passport isn't valid anymore, you know months before," Broos said on Monday in reference to Singh being stuck in Mzansi after the Ghana this month.

"The same thing for example, in the 34 players there was Mmodi Pule, you contact him and he says 'oh I don't have a passport'. So I can't select him because he doesn't have a valid passport."

He added: "So this is an attitude you [can't] have as a professional player, as for Luther Singh, you know months before - why wait for the last day?

"You lose 10 days, you're out of the team, your coach is not happy because you're late and you don't play. You need to have a professional attitude and I hope that's he learnt a lot from that now."

Bafana will face Ethiopia on Saturday, October 9 at the Bahir Dar Stadium before the return fixture at FNB Stadium three days later - which fans could enter for free.
