Kewuti completed his loan move to Usuthu from the Citizens on Wednesday to link up with his former technical staff of Benni McCarthy and assistant coach Vasili Manousakis.
Speaking with the club's media team, the midfielder says it is a great move for him as he understands what McCarthy needs from players and is looking forward to playing under him again.
"Moving to Usuthu is a great move because I'm used to the technical staff, I know what they want and it's all about winning. They've installed that mentality in me," he said.
"I'm also all about winning and I'm not here to add numbers, I just want us to win everything that is left for us this season.
"For me AmaZulu right now is good for me. Everyone I saw today is willing to learn, the technical staff and everyone wants to work hard."
Kewuti is playing away from his hometown for the first time in his career and is hoping players like Lehlohonolo Majoro and Siphelele Mthembu will help him adjust quickly in Durban.
"Life in Durban is okay, it's my first time away from Cape Town so it' going to be a bit of a challenge but I'm up for it," he adds.
"I've got great people here. I've got teammates who will guide me when things go wrong."
