Why Cape Town players struggle in Jozi

Lebusa has enjoyed a fantastic spell in Johannesburg, lifting numerous domestic trophies since a lucrative move to Mamelodi Sundowns from Ajax Cape Town in 2018.

Lebusa has joined the likes of Wayne Arendse, Mark Mayambela, Moeneb Josephs and Benni McCarthy to lift a league trophy at Gauteng-based teams.

"I honestly don't know," Lebusa tells snl24.com/kickoff when asked why so many Cape Town-born players struggle to settle in Gauteng.

"But I think it's about the mindset it's about how much you want it and the purpose in your life.

"Like when you come to this side, everything is faster, and the teams are bigger, so you need to take care of yourself and take care of your body.

"You can't be going to training and party after your body also needs to rest.

"I think it's about the mindset you also have to tell yourself what you want to achieve.

Rushine De Reuck, Lyle Lakay and Hashim Domingo are other players from Cape Town currently impressing at Mamelodi Sundowns this season.
