What Pitso Mosimane told Themba Zwane before winning goal against Golden Arrows

Zwane was the hero at Dobsonville Stadium on Monday as he came off the bench to score the most important goal of Sundowns' title defence so far to keep the club in the title race.

'Mshishi' has been struggling for form lately but proved why he is an important member at Sundowns as he showed the hunger to make a late run into the box and apply a cool finish to Lebohang Maboe's low cross.

"I had a tea with Themba Zwane two days back," Mosimane revealed after the win over Abafana Bes'thende.

"I told him that he must know that he must be patient and persevere, and we love him, and anything can happen.

"I am happy he scored but I am more happy the pass came from Lebohang because he has also been under a lot of pressure and stress."

Maboe has been criticised for not scoring goals but also played right-back at times as Sundowns were forced to deal with defensive absences.

The Brazilians take on Kaizer Chiefs at Orlando Stadium on Thursday (18h00) in a match that is being billed as a potential Absa Premiership title decider.
