Gould was given a straight red card for a tackle on Polokwane City midfielder Edgar Manaka early in the second half, as Matsatsantsa went on to lose 1-0.
The experienced defender will miss the matches against Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City, two games struggling Matsatsantsa cannot afford to lose.
SuperSport are in 14th position with five matches to go and they are just three points ahead of 15th placed Ajax Cape Town, who occupy the play-offs position.
“We are going to lose him [Gould] for the next two games, which are important for us, but in happens in football. He is an experienced player and he has learnt his mistakes. We just have to take it from here and move,” Tembo said.
“We will let things cool down a little bit and then we will talk about it.”
The defeat to Rise and Shine was their 10th this season and they now have to pick themselves up for even tougher matches in the coming weeks.
“We always have to be positive because we are in this situation. We have to pick ourselves up and motivate the players and keep pushing,” Tembo said.
“We are trying by all means to focus on our matches. We take it game by game and not try put ourselves under pressure. We know where we are and we know what we need to do to get out of the situation. It’s also about getting that win and maybe that will take us out of the situation we are in.”
