"I was given this name by my team-mate Charles Kaseke back home," Mugeyi tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"I was still playing for Black Aces. As you know, I have a twin brother, William, so Kaseke just started calling us foxes.
"So he said to me, I'm the Silver Fox, and William is the Golden Fox. He called me Silver Fox first because I was the first one to play in the Premier League. So William got the Silver Fox a year later.
"But he called me Silver Fox because of my aggressiveness on the field, giving defenders a torrid time.
"You know I've never heard anyone calling me by my name? My real name is Wilfred? I don't even know my name. Even my family members, my dad even calls me by Silver Fox.
"Names in football are common, but they don't make you play well. If you are good, you are good a name won't change anything. So it was never like the name alone motivated me.
"Yes, nicknames are important as I said everybody knows me by that name. So that's how big the Silver Fox is."
