Thwala is set to return to football for a second spell after his stint with Moroka Swallows together with former Kaizer Chiefs striker Mike Mangena, who was also a director at the Dube Birds.
According to a source close to Alexandra United, former Ria Stars boss Ria Ledwaba is also set to join the club as a director while former Amakhosi striker Abel Shongwe has already been appointed as technical director.
Thwala and Ledwaba also worked together as directors at Ria Stars.
“Chicco has been roped in as one of the club directors whilst Ria Ledwaba is also expected to join very soon. She has been to our games recently,” says the source.
“‘Chacklas’ has already started his work as the club technical director,” the source adds.
