With the PSL's end-of-season awards taking place in a fortnight's time, the nominees for the most eagerly awaited accolade have been revealed, with a Mamelodi Sundowns star the favourite.
The PSL Footballer of the Season award will be given to the player voted for by the 16 top-flight coaches.

With 16 league goals and nine assists from 26 appearances to his name, it is no surprise that Lucas Ribeiro is among the final three contenders for the prestigious award.
The Brazilian helped Sundowns romp to an eighth consecutive league title virtually unopposed.
The Buccaneers came close to challenging before ultimately wilting.
At the centre of that challenge was starlet Relebohile Mofokeng, whose five goals and seven assists in 24 appearances make him one of the league's top players.
He was only in his second season of football at the highest level, having only been promoted to Bucs' senior team in 2023.

Although somewhat under the radar, Sekhukhune United's Keletso Makgalwa is also in the conversation.
The speedy winger contributed four goals and 11 assists from his 25 appearances last term.
Due to The Brazilians' participation in the FIFA Club World Cup, the PSL award ceremony had to be postponed, and the new date is 29 July.
