Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Kabelo Mahlasela is having his best season to date with his performances receiving rave reviews two years since a difficult spell at Naturena.
Now at high-flying Royal AM, Mahlasela has been receiving plaudits from the KwaZulu-Natal-based club's hierarchy.
So impressive has been Mahlasela at Royal AM that he is the only player yet to miss a game in all competitions this season having had minutes in all 25 games.
All his 23 appearances in the league have been starts and came on as a substitute in the Nedbank Cup victory over Swallows when he was from the bench along with regular scorer Victor Letsoalo as coach John Maduka reshuffled his team.

Mahlasela has never played as many appearances in a single season as he has done now through his time playing in the PSL.
The two goals that he has scored this season also matches his best return ever playing in the PSL.
"Some people previously dismissed him as being short and lightweight, but he has the heart of a lion on the field of play," John Tlale, who coached him at Roses United, Sivutsa Stars, and Royal Eagles tells KickOff.
"I took him when he was 19 years after he came to Roses United after having been with the Pirates development. Wherever I was going I was always with him
"I have always liked the fact that he was quick and arrogant on the ball which is why I have had him all those years at three clubs.
"He is doing well because he is starting games and getting to finish most of them so that tells you about how much he has improved. Before he used to struggle starting matches and would make things happen for us coming from the bench.
"The only thing that I have always felt he lacks is his finishing. With combination and movement, he does it all to perfection and is a player that will never hide," says Tlale.
Mahlasela joined Chiefs midway through the 2017/18 season but didn't play until the end of that season due to injury.
The following season he featured in 17 games without scoring and was ultimately loaned out to Polokwane City in January 2020.
