Pitso Mosimane breaks silence on George Maluleka after Kaizer Chiefs confirm transfer

On Wednesday afternoon, just hours before Sundowns league encounter against Stellenbosch at Athlone Stadium, Amakhosi confirmed 'Mido' agreed to join the Brazilians ahead of the 2020/21 season.

However, after securing a hard-fought 1-0 win over the Cape Town-based outfit, that takes them four points behind the Soweto giants with a game in hand, Mosimane neither confirmed nor denied the statement from the league leaders.

"No, I don't want to talk about George Maluleka, Sundowns must speak about George Maluleka," he said.

"I'm not Sundowns, I'm the coach, if I'm Sundowns, then I do everything, so let Sundowns announce George Maluleka.

"Until Sundowns announce George Maluleka, then it can be official - at the moment it's a rumour.

"Do I want to be a spokesperson for Kaizer Chiefs guys, I wish I could tell you, I need to wait for my team, with all due respect, I think you understand."

Mosimane's side face Orlando Pirates in their next league game which could take them one point off Chiefs in the title race.
