New signing tipped to suit Chiefs' attacking style

The former Under-20 international joins fellow new additions including Siyethemba Sithebe, Yusuf Maart and Ashley Du Preez as the club reinforce its squad ahead of the new season.

"I scouted Kamo in Sebokeng," Former SuperSport United development coach Kwanele Kopo tells KickOff.

"We were hosting trials together with one of our development coaches, Mzwakhe Dladla, and were looking for players born in 1998.

"Kamo was among the youngsters in that crowded group and was skilful and skinny.

"We couldn't ignore his talent. But because he was playing in the same position as Nelson Maluleke and Athekile Dladla we took him to the Rosina Sedibane School before we brought him back to the mainstream academy.

"He was promoted to the first team the following year and was later loaned out to the University of Pretoria because he probably couldn't fit into the system of play at the time.

"At one stage Mamelodi Sundowns showed interest in him while at our academy but he ended up at Tuks before joining Swallows.

"Kamo is the kind of player that needs a coach who understands his abilities. I am excited to see him joining Chiefs and I believe he will blossom there.
"I believe Kamo will reach his full potential at Kaizer Chiefs as his abilities are in line with the style at Chiefs.

"I think the style at Chiefs will suit him, and he'll fit in well there.

"He is in the same category of players in the mould of former greats such as the likes of Doctor Khumalo, Ace Ntsoloeng and Thabo Mookie.

"He fits in that bracket."
