Masina came on as an early second-half substitute in last week’s 2-1 defeat to Bidvest Wits but finished off the game limping after picking up a knock during the game.
“I was given the crutches and the moon boot last Thursday after my initial visit to the doctor as my ankle was heavily swollen,” Masina tells snl24.com/kickoff.
“Luckily the X-ray confirmed that nothing is broken, but I have another appointment with the doctors tomorrow for an MRI scan that will determine if anything is wrong with the ligaments.
"For now I can only hope that it is nothing severe, though I am still feeling the pain that I felt last week,” he says.
Masina has been mostly used as an impact player this season, coming on as a substitute in seven of the 12 league games that Aces have played.
The Swaziland-born midfielder will be joined by Valery Nahayo in the list of players that will miss the trips to Port Elizabeth and Durban for games against Chippa United and AmaZulu respectively.
