Mamelodi Sundowns game sold out

Mamelodi Sundowns are set to host title rivals Kaizer Chiefs in a blockbuster DStv Premiership clash at a sold-out Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

Stadium management has confirmed that Saturday's enthralling clash will be opened to the venue's full capacity.

Sundowns – who are defending champions – welcome a confident Chiefs side coming off a dominant win with both sides keen to land an early blow in the title race.

The Yellow Nation will be loud in the stands as usual while Amakhosi will also descend in their thousands in Tshwane to support Arthur Zwane's side.

KickOff has been informed by Stadium management that the contest will be opened to 52 000 fans similarly to last month's Springboks Test Match against Wales.

"Tomorrow's game is open up to the full 52 000 which is inclusive of 9 000 for suites," says a stadium authority who spoke to this website this morning.

"This means minus the suites the stadium takes 43 000 at full capacity.

"The recent Test match was also at full capacity and so will be the game between Sundowns Chiefs," adds the stadium authority.

All 43 000 tickets for the non-suite seats have been confirmed to be sold out.

Sundowns have also confirmed that all tickets made available have been sold out.

"We encourage all ticket holders to arrive at the stadium early!

"Our family Beer Garden will be open from 11:00 where food and beverages will be sold!" reads a statement from the club.

Rulani Mokwena, the Sundowns co-coach, also noted his desire to have the game started at the planned kick-off time.

The tendency of fans flooding the gates just before the match starts has in previous years led to delays in the kick-off time to enable all supporters to be at their seats.
