The current TS Galaxy coach reveals he once warned his former player to address his mental health.
Shozi, who was loaned out Galaxy to GladAfrica Championship side JDR Stars at the beginning of the season has been reported missing by his family.
The 27-year-old attacking midfielder who also featured for Mamelodi Sundowns has been missing for almost three months and is said to be suffering from mental health issues.
"There are a number of things that Khaya should be helped with his life if he's found.
"I'm not an expert when it comes to these things but you've always gone through some stuff in life, and you've seen how other people have been behaving and their life being difficult and all that.
"So I believe Khaya has the same situation where he might need help.
"It's just a question of Khaya getting the help he needs. I'm just hoping he will be found, and he will be saved because he is a very good talent.
"We pray for him every day.
"I remember him at Galaxy where he was very quiet, very isolated you know. He would keep to himself and mind his own business.
"Those were not good signs, it's just that we didn't pick up something was wrong.
"Our jobs as coaches is to study things, I would watch his behaviour and sometimes Khaya would speak to himself alone.
"Without wanting to say too much I think we must just pray for the boy."
