Kaizer Chiefs confirm Kabelo Mahlasela, Joseph Molangoane release

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the permanent departure of midfielders Kabelo Mahlasela and Joseph Molangoane.

Mahlasela's two-and-a-half year spell has come to a close on Tuesday after the club opted not to renew his contract, while Molangoane bids farewell after three-and-a-half years.

The former already packed up his locker at Naturena after he was shipped out to Polokwane City on a short-term loan deal in January.

As earlier confirmed, the diminutive winger will be remaining with Rise and Shine beyond his loan as he hopes to resurrect his once blossoming career that started at Bloemfontein Celtic.

'Tight', meanwhile, has seen the club's patience run out after he was sidelined for eight months last season due to a leg fracture sustained against Free State Stars in August 2018.

The 32-year-old former Orlando Pirates attacker has since gone the entire 2019/20 season without featuring for Amakhosi, and will now need to find elsewhere to try and rebuild his confidence and forge a playing future.
