George Lebese: Why ex-Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns winger's return has been delayed

Lebese joined TTM on a free transfer a few weeks ago after one season with United States League (USL) side Colorado Springs Switchbacks.

The Mamelodi-born midfielder was due to make his debut in their DStv Premiership clash against Bloemfontein Celtic at the Old Peter Mokaba stadium in Polokwane today but the club has confirmed it's been put on hold.

The Limpopo-based side co-coach Mpho Maleka says his team was crossing fingers that George Lebese papers will be sorted out soon for his eagerly awaited return to Mzansi.

"The issue now is [the] delay to get his international clearance. [We] hope [it] will be sorted out soon," Maleka tells snl24.com/kickoff.

TTM made history recently when they qualified for the Nedbank Cup final in their debut top-flight campaign and are set to meet Chippa United in the domestic showpiece at the Free State Stadium on May 8.
