The last few seasons has seen a handful of Botswana players crossing the border to emerge as some of the best foreign talent in the PSL.
Now the two countries will meet in Durban and one of Botswana’s finest exports, Gabonamong, says South Africa should not underestimate his country when they battle it out for a possible spot in next year's World Cup in Brazil.
"The good thing is we know more about them than they do about us. They are a good side, but so are we and the biggest mistake they can make is to take us lightly. It will be a very tactical clash and I am optimistic of our own upset of Bafana Bafana," the SuperSport United man tells snl24.com/kickoff.
The utility hardman, who missed the Zebras' previous encounters in June to witness the birth of his child, made a scintillating return in his side's 1-0 friendly win over Malawi on Tuesday night.

"The games happened around the time my wife was giving birth and I was obviously not going to miss the arrival of my first child. The game against Malawi was a good morale-booster going into this game," he explains.
Having made his Zebras debut at the tender age of 16, the 31-year-old boasts major international experience and has often proven his versatility, slotting into central midfield and defensive roles with ease.
He is expected to play as a centre-back on the weekend but will operate wherever coach Stanley Tshosane deems fit.
"I'll play wherever the coach wants me to play. There have been games where, looking at the opponents, I would have preferred to play at the back, but I'm just a player, not the coach. Of course as a player you have to use your brains and do what you know best," Gabonamong says.
Gabonamong believes with the right guidance, the future looks bright for the youngsters in the team and has urged them to give Bafana a run for their money.
He concludes: "Most of them are good yet still raw and have a long way to go. What they lack in experience they should make up for with their hearts. I believe in them and they shouldn't be intimidated by anything.”
Botswana will have to beat South Africa and hope Central African Republic upsets Ethiopia on the same day for them to have any chance of progressing to the next round.
The same applies for Bafana.
