Former coach Andries 'Local is Lekker' Sebola has demanded a permanent coaching change following Orlando Pirates' disastrous Nedbank Cup exit.
Interim duo Mandl Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids were handed the coaching reigns on an interim basis at the beginning of the season following the resignation of Josef Zinnbauer.
In his only full season (2020/21) at Pirates, the German guided the Buccaneers to a third-place finish in the DStv Premiership standings.

"From what I've seen there is no progress at Pirates. Mandla has nothing to lose at Pirates and all that is happening at the club is new for him. This has been experimental, and it hasn't worked.
Ncikazi and Davids have a 39.3% winning ratio which is far lower than their predecessor, Zinnbauer (51,5%).
Of the men that have been at the helm at Pirates inside the last decade, the best performing coach has been Julio Leal who won 64,2% of his games after taking over from Ruud Krol.
