One of the most highly anticipated categories is that of Young Player of the Season. This award is given to an up-and-coming star, under the age of 21, who had a stellar campaign and contributed immensely to his team's achievements.

Nominated for this edition is Mofokeng, whose five goals and seven assists from 26 appearances rank him above his competitors.

Nkota, who recently completed a move to Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq, also had a standout season, netting three times whilst also registering three assists from 25 league appearances.
