With Khanyisa Mayo's foot preparing to hit the accelerator after his exclusion from CR Belouizdad, two of South Africa's so-called Big Three have been mentioned as a suitable destination.
Mayo is now free to join a team of his choice after he was de-registered by Algerian giants Belouizdad.
On July 17, KickOff.com published an article where the player's father, former professional footballer Patrick Mayo, confirmed Amakhosi's interest in the attacker.
"Yes, Kaizer Chiefs called me last week to find out if I would give Khanyisa my blessing to join the club," Mayo Snr. said, at the time.

Another former football, Phumlani Mkhize, believes if the Mthatha-born star were to return to South Africa, he will have to join either Chiefs or Mamelodi Sundowns.
"That's where he is going to fit," he says.
"At Pirates, if you look closely, there's Yanela Mbuthuma and Sinoxolo Kwayiba, who plays almost similar to Mayo.
"But Mayo edges them slightly with his good finishing. He can score goals, but when it comes to the style of play, they are the same player.
"But if you look at Chiefs, they don't have somebody who makes runs like Mayo does up front. He can combine well with Gaston Sirino.
"Chiefs are struggling a lot up front.

"Also at Sundowns, he will fit in like a hand in a glove because they have many ball players there. So, it's only up front where they are missing somebody who will complement the ball players.
"Mayo and Sundowns are a good match," added the man fondly known as 'BMX'.
