The ghost haunting Gyimah's club chase…

With all the controversy allegations that have become synonyms with Edwin Gyimah, his latest club hunt has come to nothing.

Gyimah has not played competitive football since November 12, 2023, when his stay at Sekhukhune United came to a controversial ending.

There has been mention of an issue pertaining to what happened ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup match played in the same month (November 2023) that he last played for Babina Noko.

He ultimately parted ways with the club a few months later.

Since then, the former Ghana international has been to Marumo Gallants and Magesi but left without landing a contract.

The 34-year-old has also played for SuperSport United, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Orlando Pirates, BidVest Wits, and Black Leopards.

There were reports of departures of issues relating to him at Pirates and Leopards.

It now appears his options in South Africa are getting thinner based on the history of all allegations attached to his name.

This website can confirm that Gyimah’s name was presented to struggling Zimbabwean giants Dynamos.

Dynamos played in the 1998 CAF Champions League final but have now fallen on difficult times across the Limpopo River as they battle to get out of the relegation mud.

Instead of rushing into negotiations for a short-term deal based on their desperate situation, the Harare club did their background check and then decided not to pursue this option.

They have since opted for other players from Ghana – Mohammed Issaka and Felix Hammond.
