Eto'o, a record four-time African Footballer of the Year, was previously a free agent after his one-year deal at Chelsea elapsed in the off-season.
The 33-year-old has netted 56 goals in 118 outings for his country, while he enjoyed trophy-laden spells at Barcelona and Inter Milan.
Eto'o scored over a 100 goals in five years at Camp Nou, first ending as the La Liga top scorer in 2005/06. He notably plundered 36 goals in his final season with the Catalans.
He also featured for Mallorca and Anzhi Makhachkala before his introduction to the Premier League last summer.
