De Sa dropped the bombshell earlier today that he’s stepping down with immediate effect.
Wednesday’s 2-1 Absa Premiership loss against Bidvest Wits was the final straw for De Sa.
According to Isaacs Ajax, need to galvanise and toughen up for the road ahead.
“Look, I need to be honest and say that I didn’t see this coming,” Isaacs told snl24.com/kickoff.
“That said I don’t think we as players should lose any sleep over this. The fact that coach left is not the end of the world. That’s soccer and that is coaches, they come and they go.

“Roger is a good friend, mentor and coach, and I wish him all the best. It’s unfortunate that things turn out like this but we as players have no control over this.
“Besides, we’re employed by Ajax, not De Sá,” said Isaacs, who worked with the coach before at Santos.
Isaacs is of the opinion that he is prepared to take up the responsibility as the most senior player in the Nathan Paulse’s injury absence to help steer the team to a first victory of the Premier League campaign on Saturday against SuperSport United.
“As you know we in very precarious position and that’s should be our main focus. We start on Saturday by beating SuperSport at home.
“That should be our main focus. I know when we get our first two victories then we’ll be OK and take things from there. But we need to have believe,” Isaacs concludes.
