Makola alongside CT City both virtually appeared for a second time before the PSL Disciplinary Committee after being charged with assaulting a match official.
An infuriated Makola was shown in sensational TV footage to shove a referee's assistant during a controversial penalty shoot-out in the MTN8 final.
In his argument, the player is believed to have claimed he was provoked by the official and, as a result, acted in self-defence.
On Tuesday, the matter was again heard, with all parties providing their gathered evidence.
"Both parties must now file written heads of argument by this coming Monday."
Cape Town City and club chairman John Comitis could not be reached for comment.
If found guilty, Makola could face a lengthy ban of up to six months after being involved in a similar incident for laying hands on a match official.
The 35-year-old Makola has made eight league appearances so far this season, with three cup appearances for the Citizens.
