Kaizer Chiefs veteran Bernard Parker has earned his legendary status at the club and can continue playing professional football for up to four years.
This is the opinion of Parker's former teammate who played with him while he was a schoolboy at Benoni United during the 2004/05 season.
Parker this season became Chiefs' all-time top scorer through the PSL era years with 61 goals for the club and will have completed 11 years at Naturena when his contract expires in June.
Though he is just three weeks from turning 36, Parker has only missed two games for Chiefs in this campaign after totalling 42 appearances last season.

"Based on what I know of him I think he can still play another three or four years because all he needs to do is just maintain his discipline," says retired goalkeeper Noel Yobou who played with Parker for three years.
"With his discipline, he can still play until he is 40 unless he feels like he wants to retire and give space to the younger players and focus on something else in life like in business. However, for me, he can still go on for as long as he wants.
"Bernard is a hard worker who started playing football with us when he was still young and still going to school and I think he learnt a lot from us with regards to discipline.
"He has also looked after himself well. For a player to play longer he must look after himself, be disciplined and committed plus take your job serious. I think discipline is what has kept him going this strong up to now. I know him to be very disciplined and being a guy who knows what he wants in life.
"He is very organised as well so that gives him an edge over most guys. With his experience he can still give a lot to Kaizer Chiefs," says Yobou who holds a CAF A coaching and is goalkeeper coach at Western Cape ABC Motsepe League club Zizwe United FC.
