Reports emerged during the week about the Buccaneers being interested in signing the lanky goalkeeper, who is still famous for that amazing bicycle-kick goal that earned him world recognition.
The 26-year-old former Puskas Award nominee actually tried his luck at Kaizer Chiefs in 2018 but failed to convince the club's technical team to hand him a contract.
According to fresh rumours, Pirates are reported to have even offered Collins Makgaka as part of a deal to bring Masuluke to Parktown.
Makgaka joined Pirates at the beginning of the season after leaving Baroka but has found it very difficult to find game time in Soweto.
"You know people really love Pirates," Mphahlele responds to snl24.com/kickoff.
"Why can't they say [Richard] Ofori is coming to Baroka? So Pirates must always sign my players and me not sign anyone from them? It's just one way traffic [laughs]?
"It's just their wishful thinking those people. They are just sleeping and dreaming. Tell Baroka fans they must just relax, there's nothing like that. You know if there's something you will always be the first one to know. You know I don't lie."
