Usuthu went into Sunday's game in high spirits and on the day produced one of their worst performances this season in a goalless draw.
However, Siphelele Magubane says they have prepared very well to make sure they don't repeat the same mistakes against Amakhosi.
"We've prepared very well coming to Wednesday's game, we take positives from Sunday's game," Magubane told the club's media team.
"We've been working hard to rectify our mistakes that we had on Sunday against Swallows, we are looking forward to the Chiefs game, we're positive.
"We've prepared very well. We've been there before and we get support from family and staff back home, so yeah we're preparing very well and the mood is good in the camp."
Last time Usuthu played back-to-back away games they collected four points as they drew against SuperSport United and beat Baroka FC, and Magubane is hoping history will repeat itself against Amakhosi.
"We would've loved to collect six points away from home but now we have to get maximum points on Wednesday so we can go back home with four points," he added. "We would like that and I think everybody at home would accept that back home."
