South Africa under-19 star Khanyisa Mayo reveals admiration for Orlando Pirates midfielder Mpho Makola

Mayo again scored for the South Africa invitational side in their 3-1 semi-final win over Sporting Lisbon in the Durban International U-19 tournament on Wednesday.

David Notoane's side will now face reigning champions Arsenal in the final on Saturday, after the young Gunners overcame TP Mazembe in the second semi-final on Thursday.

The former under-17 international, who leads the tournament goalscoring charts with six goals, mimicked the goal celebration of Makola and went on to admit his admiration of the Bucs attacker.

"Mpho Makola is my favorite player and his celebration inspires me too much," said the 17-year-old SuperSport United goalpoacher. "And I want to do that celebration [again If I score a goal in the final]."

Asked whether he would be willing to join the Mayfair-based club, despite his father Patrick having played for rivals Kaizer Chiefs, Mayo responded: "If it's like that [them being interested in me] I would go."

The final is scheduled to kick-off at 14h45, with the third/fourth-place play-off set to precede that at 12h30.
