Sikhosana slams 'disrespectful' Kasi Flavour

Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana legend Jerry Skhosana has issued a scathing analysis on showboating dubbed 'Kasi Flavour' on display at this year's Philly's games.

Staged in Tembisa, Gauteng, the off-season exhibition tournament has grown rapidly in popularity over recent years and often attracts large crowds that include locals, coaches, players and scouts alike.

Sikhosana, however, believes the showboating sets the country's football development back.

"Earlier on today, I came here to watch Isithembiso playing against another team [Phanda Phanda]," The Blue Lions club owner told SuperSport TV.

"They[Isithembiso] were leading I think aggregate was six goals to one. Then you get a player that gets the ball, he sleeps, literally sleeps and then all the Isithembiso players had to sleep. I mean that's directing the game it self."

"We can have jokes, we can have all of this, but what was happening in the morning, I think, is something that I cannot tolerate.

"It doesn't sit well with me because we want to unearth talent, we want to see the next Helman Mkhalele, the next Jerry Sikhosana, the next Paulen Ndlanya. This is where we come from. So, lets' respect the game."
