With Orlando Pirates back in the market for a permanent head coach, KickOff lists five possible candidates locally.
1. Pitso Mosimane
The Kagiso-born coach needs no introduction, having accomplished everything domestically and continentally.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly tactician could be demanding when it comes to salary expectations, though.

2. Rulani Mokwena
He is still cutting his teeth in the local and continental scene and the timing could just be right to finish any 'unfinished business' with the side having had a brief coaching stint after Milutin Sredojevic left.
Having being in sole charge of Sundowns and Wydad Casablanca since his ill-fated spell as interim coach at Bucs, the 38-year-old mentor has matured since four-and-a-half years ago.
3. Benni McCarthy
The legendary former Bafana Bafana striker is currently contracted to Kenya national team. However, he may not be able to resist the temptation of coaching the side where he finished his playing career.
He has previously stated he would only coach a club competing for continental titles and the Soweto giants would be a great opportunity for him to revive his reputation.
Would the club be willing to pay damages for breach of contract, if interested?
4. Manqoba Mngqithi
The former school teachers signed a short-term deal with Golden Arrows after joining mid-season from The Brazilians.
Having worked with Pirates interim coach Mandla Ncikazi before, the co-coaching arrangement could be one of the considerations by the powers that be at the Houghton-based outfit.
5. Roger De Sa
After one-and-a-half year out of the game since his role as assistant coach of Qatar national team, De Sa is back, especially on the local scene, assisting Cape Town City interim coach Diogo Peral on a short-term basis.

If there is any coach locally with a similar character to departed Jose Riveiro is De Sa. Soft-spoken and able to inspire a dressing room.
And also, he knows what it takes having coached Ezimnyama Ngenkani before and almost winning the CAF Champions League in 2013, losing in the final to Al Ahly.
