The Moroccan Frenchman has taken over from Jose Riveiro and will be tasked with keeping the fire burning.

Riveiro took The Bucs towards the upwards path of being the Happy People again by winning silverware in all the three seasons that he spent at the club.

Once pre-season, which will include a camp in Spain from July 8-20 and friendly matches against Bolton Wanderers (England), Pafos (Cyprus), Las Palmas and Granada (both Spain), is done Pirates will have another long season to endure.

The Bucs have business of defending their MTN8 title.

Pirates have won this trophy three years in a row and Ouaddou will aim to retain it.

Then there will be the bread-and-butter business of the Betway Premiership.

This is the trophy Pirates need having last lifted it as far back as the 2011/12 season.

Along the way there will be the Carling KnockOut and the Nedbank Cup.

Another priority task for Ouaddou will be in the CAF Champions League, a journey which ended in the semi-finals last season.

The continent’s premier club competition will start in September and run all the way to May 2026.

This means Pirates have five competitions to prepare for in the new season just like they have done in the last two seasons under Riveiro.
