Experienced PSL prosecutor Nande Becker has finally revealed why the former Witbank Spurs CEO will not succeed in his attempt to stop the Nedbank Cup semi-final from being played.
Mapulane is accusing the PSL of protecting Bloemfontein Celtic for allegedly not properly signing their former player Aviwe Nyamende.
Next week Saturday Siwelele are set to play Baroka FC in the last four of the national cup, a game Mapulane and his lawyers are trying to stop from happening.
But according to Becker, the current BTM Sports boss will not succeed in his quest.
"Witbank Spurs have not lodged a formal complaint against the player Nyamende Aviwe in terms of the provisions of Rule 52," Becker explains to snl24.com/kickoff.
"Further, they have also not referred any issues with the player to our DRC in accordance with Rule 45.5. Simply, any issues which they May have with the player N. Aviwe have no bearings in any scheduled matches.
"However, I'm investigating the club and Mapulane due to the campaign being waged in the press which is bringing the League into disrepute."
Mapulane could not be reached for a comment.
