Celtic appear to have received a boost in their case against BTM Sports boss Freddy Mapulane, who is accusing the Absa Premiership side of having stolen their player Aviwe Nyamende.
According to the former Witbank Spurs CEO, Siwelele signed the defender while he still had an existing contract with them in the ABC Motsepe League.
Mapulane wants Celtic to forfeit all the points they accumulated with Nyamende playing in the side, including their Nedbank Cup semi-final spot.
This week Mapulane told this website he will even take the matter to court if the PSL is planning to allow Celtic to play in the semis without ruling on the case.
"It's an old matter which the League has dealt with. It's up to the complaining club to follow the procedures laid down in the rules," Becker tells snl24.com/kickoff.
Pressed further on what exactly those procedures are and what the decision taken was, Becker did not respond.
Meanwhile, when informed that according to Becker the case is closed, Mapulane told a different story.
"Well, he hasn't replied to our email, I can't comment, [the case is] far from over."
