Travis Graham reflects on Ajax Cape Town's season

Ajax started their campaign strongly in the Absa Premiership, and went on to win the MTN8 Cup by dethroning Kaizer Chiefs in the Final in September.

However, the Urban Warriors were rocked by the death of defender Cecil Lolo in a car crash in October.

Roger de Sa's side's have also struggled in the League since their cup triumph, losing five games and drawing twice to sit five points above the drop zone after 11 matches.

"This season has been quite an up and down type of season for us so far," Graham told the club's website.

"We had a lot of things happen in a short space of time, winning the MTN8, but then also losing a friend and a very influential player. That was a really tough one, but I think all of the guys are coming out of that now, while remembering what Lolo has done for the club and we look forward to carrying on the legacy he left behind.

"We need to do our best for the club all the time, because we aren’t sitting where we want to be on the log. This is the time we all have to stand up and turn things around for ourselves and for the supporters,” concluded Graham.
