The 24-year-old striker made the switch from relegated side University of Pretoria on a three-year deal six weeks ago, and has already made his debut, coming on as a second-half substitute in their 1-0 defeat to Platinum Stars on Wednesday evening.
Matsatsantsa will next face their city rivals at the Loftus Stadium for a place in the MTN8 semifinals.
Coming from another Tshwane team, Mnyamane will be familiar with the rivalry against Sundowns, but views this particular encounter as a “bit bigger”.
“I’d like to believe [this derby] is a bit bigger – not taking anything away from Tuks – because the expectations are very high and the fans are expecting a good result,” Mnyamane told reporters. “It’s a great feeling to be part of such a derby.”
The Bafana Bafana forward has scored in two of his last three fixtures against Pitso Mosimane’s side while still at AmaTuks, and hopes to be on the scoresheet once again come Sunday.
“It will be a good feeling to score again against Sundowns. Hopefully I’ll get that chance to finish,” he concluded.
The fourth and final cup fixture is scheduled to kick-off at 15h00.
