Siphiwe Tshabalala hails the Kaizer Chiefs faithful ahead of MTN8 Final

The reigning MTN8 champions will look to defend their title at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth this weekend, and with Chiefs’ widespread following across the country, ‘Shabba’ is expecting a full house in the ‘Friendly City’.

“It’s a great venue and the people are friendly,” the Chiefs’ captain was quoted as saying on his club’s official website. “We are also looking forward to play in a packed stadium with most of the crowd getting fully behind us. That’s always a great boost for the team.”

The midfielder feels his charges are ready and are raring to go in the defence of their crown.

“It will be a big game,” he said. “We are looking forward to it. The boys are ready. We are one win away from holding the cup in our hands.”

Shabba then directed a message to all the Glamour Boys’ supporters, saying the team are targeting victory for the fans.

“Our supporters are our twelfth man: You have been great and that’s why we want to win the trophy for you,” he said.

Kick off on Saturday is scheduled for 3pm.
