Sammy Troughton: AmaTuks must bury Kaizer Chiefs

Amakhosi lost 1-0 to Ajax Cape Town in the Final of the competition in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

AmaTuks are also smarting after going down 1-0 to Bidvest Wits at home in their previous Absa Premiership outing.

"After their loss in the Cup Final they are expected to bounce back and focus on the League," Troughton tells snl24.com/kickoff ahead of the League clash at Soccer City.

"Chiefs have many experienced players and I don't think their defeat against Ajax Cape Town will affect them moving forward to their next League game.

"We respect them as a quality side but we have to do what we have to do and try to play to get the positive results. We will go there to try to create chances as much as possible and make sure that we also try to bury them."

Meanwhile, Troughton says striker Lennox Bacela remains in his plans despite seeing little game-time for the struggling outfit.

"We will see if he makes into the team tonight. Lennox is still trying to adapt with the conditions at Tuks," he adds of the 32-year-old, who joined Tuks in July from Orlando Pirates.

Troughton's side are in the relegation zone with three points from four games - five points behind fourth-placed champions Chiefs.
