With the different municipalities across the countries in the process of preparing bids to host this season's MTN8 final, one of those has raised its voice the loudest.
This season's semi-finals, to be contested over two legs as per usual, will see defending champions, Orlando Pirates taking on Mamelodi Sundowns, while Stellenbosch FC will exchange fire with Sekhukhune United.

According to Polokwane Municipality spokesperson Mantlako Sebaka, they have already communicated their desire to host the big encounter.
"We have conveyed our wish to host the MTN8 final. Obviously, it won't be both Pirates and Sundowns in the final. We've previously hosted a Pirates v Sundowns semi-final without any issues," Sebaka reveals exclusively to KickOff.com.
"In the final, one of the following combinations will occur: Pirates v Sekhukhune, Pirates v Stellenbosch, Sundowns v Sekhukhune, or Sundowns v Stellenbosch.
"We are appealing to the decision-makers to bring the final here. We really want it. We understand that we don’t have the sea or beaches near the stadium, but we are passionate about football and showcase that through our partnerships with four teams in the Polokwane Municipality.
"We have Polokwane City, Magesi FC, Sekhukhune United, and an agreement with Kaizer Chiefs. Hosting the MTN8 cup final would be the cherry on top.
"We know that to host such an event, we will need to collaborate with the PSL and the sponsors, and we are fully prepared for that.

"I believe what gives us an advantage is that there will be only one big team in this year's MTN8 final," added Sebaka.
On December 10, 2016, the New Peter Mokaba Stadium hosted the Telkom Knockout final between SuperSport United and Cape Town City.
Last season, the Polokwane Municipality attempted to host the Nedbank Cup final but was ultimately outbid by Ethekwini Municipality, which resulted in the Soweto Derbu fixture being held at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
