De Reuck takes Maema's bags to Tanzania

Midfielder Neo Maema is set to join a former teammate elsewhere on the continent after Mamelodi Sundowns gave him the green light to conclude a move.

Maema was linked with a move to Siwelele FC before the start of the new season, but the deal between the club and Sundowns failed to materialise.

The Bafana Bafana midfielder is now set to join Simba SC after the CHAN tournament, following an agreement between the Tanzanian giants and the Chloorkop-based outfit.

According to sources close to Maema, the player has already bid farewell to his teammates at The Brazilians and is set to start a new life in East Africa.

"Rushine De Reuck was seen at the airport carrying the luggage of Neo Maema. They both are going to play in Tanzania this season," said one source.

Both De Reuck and Maema are set to work with former Maritzburg United coach Fadlu Davids at their new club.

Meanwhile, Sundowns have started the season without Khuliso Mudau and Luis Ribeiro Costa. Both missed the MTN 8 quarter-final match against Richards Bay FC at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday.

The duo is reported to be on their way out of the yellow-coloured gates.
