The Urban Warriors and Amakhosi square off in the decider at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth in a contest that pits two form teams against each other.
And Khenyeza, who played for both clubs during his illustrious career, is hoping Ajax emerge victorious on the day.
“I would love for Ajax to win it – not because I hate Chiefs, but because Ajax is like Arrows to me," he tells snl24.com/kickoff.
“They love their players and they make sure you, as an individual, are happy where you are. They rate their players in a proper way and they are a family. I'm not saying Chiefs are not, but teams like Ajax always grind for each and everything with a huge willingness.
“I would absolutely love for Ajax to win it. I always watch them when I can. It [the club] is still in my heart. I will always have a soft spot for them because it is one team that revived my career."
Khenyeza won the Telkom Knockout Cup in 2007 with Chiefs, and also with Ajax a year later under Craig Rosslee.
It was also the last time the Urban Warriors have lifted some silverware. They have been in the finals of the 2009 MTN8 and last season’s Nedbank Cup, but lost both matches.
