Lebese reiterated his worth with a brace in a 4-1 League win over SuperSport United on the weekend to collect his second man-of-the-match award.
“As a player it feels good to contribute to the success of the team,” Lebese told his club's website.
“It also shows that working hard pays off. At the start of every season, I set milestones for myself to reach. It has been work in progress.”
The left-footed attacker added: “All this wouldn't be possible without working as a team. Credit must go to my teammates, because no single player can win a game on his own. It’s always the team that wins matches.”
Glamour Boys coach Steve Komphela is naturally pleased with Lebese's contribution.
“It is good to see George scoring goals from the left side of midfield. He is working hard and he fully deserves the accolades.”
Komphela will hope for more of the same from Lebese when Amakhosi defend their MTN8 crown against Ajax Cape Town in the Final in Port Elizabeth on Saturday afternoon.
