Football analyst Junior Khanye has shared his prediction for tomorrow's MTN8 Cup semi-final between Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
The match will take place at Orlando Stadium, marking the first leg of the two-legged semi-finals, and it is considered one of the biggest fixtures in South African football.

The second leg is scheduled for Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville, Pretoria.
"Pirates haven't been performing well lately, and that's because they seem like a new team. The coach is struggling to find the right combinations, which surprises me given that he had a pre-season," Khanye told KickOff.
"They keep changing players unnecessarily, and their starting eleven is always different. That’s my main concern with Pirates. In the MTN8 Cup, they played against Polokwane City, but they weren't really challenged, and Polokwane City lacks quality.
"This weekend, they are facing the strongest team in the country right now—a team that recently performed well at the Club World Cup and features high-profile players.

"For Saturday's game, I predict that Sundowns will win 2-1. Goals are likely to come from Mshishi [Themba Zwane], who will score tomorrow, and Relebohile Mofokeng, who I believe will score for Pirates."
